The unofficial Homestuck Collection was a piece of software created by GiovanH and Bambosh allowing people to read the comic offline in a more optomized way. Since VIZ acquired the homestuck.com website it's been pretty unreadable which made the Unoffical Homestuck Collection basically the only way to read the comic. On August 8th, 2025 GiovanH announced in a blog post that the collection was being taken down by Andrew Hussie, this card serves as a way to keep the software alive and I'll try to do my best to keep all the mirror sites up to date and working.
Set-up
Setting up the Unofficial Homestuck Collection is a little bit weird, because there are two pieces: the reader application, and the asset pack. The Application is the reader, the Asset Pack is the archived comic data. Download both, save them to your computer, then pick the correct app for your OS and run it. If you downloaded one thats a .ZIP or .RAR you can delete the versions that are for other OS's. Once you run the app It'll ask you to tell it where you saved the asset pack, and then you'll be good to go!If you're still having trouble setting it up I recommend this tutorial by TheStrangeCaseofHarryHinderson:

The application is a roughly 150 MB download, and requires the Asset Pack V2 to function. Future updates to the application may require an updated Asset Pack, but they usually won't. (it's advised to use an adblocker on these sites)

The Asset Pack V2 is a 4.3 GB download, and it's necessary in order to run the application. It contains all the text, images, animations, and everything else! (it's advised to use an adblocker on these sites)
